Children’s Rollicking Book Discussion
Avast, me hearties! As part of “Marblehead Reads,” children in grades 4–6 are invited to join a rollicking discussion group on the book, The Whaleship Essex: the true story of Moby Dick by Jil Fine to be held on Thursday, March 29, at 3:15 p.m. School Library Journal said about this book, “With a wonderful variety of graphics, photos and maps, this book brings the story of the Essex to life.”
Registration is required as space is limited. Sign-up begins on Wednesday, March 7. The discussion will be led by Children’s Librarian Karen Nee, snacks will be served, and no real whales will be harmed.
