“Wild About Whales” with Rae Griffith of Teaching Creatures
Families and kids ages 5 and up are invited to join Rae Griffith of Teaching Creatures for her “Wild About Whales” program. Join Rae and dive deep into the incredible lives of the largest creatures on Earth!
In “Wild About Whales” kids will learn about the many kinds of whales and dolphins that make New England waters their home. Try on a blubber glove to see how they stay warm in our cold Atlantic waters. Play an echolocation game to model how dolphins find their food, and design your own humpback whale tail pattern after learning how real whales are named and identified year after year.
Rae Griffiths’ work with animals spans over 20 years. She has worked with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the Museum of Science in Boston, the Franklin Park Zoo, and the Massachusetts Audubon Society. She founded Teaching Creatures in 2003. Teaching Creatures programs expose children of all ages to the amazing diversity of the animal kingdom and help them make meaningful and lasting connections with the animals.
