“Conversations on Race: Microaggressions”, Co-sponsored by the Marblehead Racial Justice Team and the Abbot Public Library
July 17 @ 7:00 pm
We’ve all heard of microaggressions. But have you ever wondered whether you’ve unintentionally committed a microaggression? Join us for a discussion about what makes a statement a microaggression, how to avoid them yourself, and what actions you might, or might not, take when you see someone else saying something that could be considered racially insensitive. We will examine these questions at our “Conversations on Race,” on Monday, July 17th, at the Abbot Public Library, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The discussion will be facilitated by members of the Marblehead Racial Justice Team, who bring their background in racial justice and group facilitation to support the conversation. Join us to listen, learn, and talk openly with others striving to move racial justice forward.
Never been? Come at 6:45 pm to ask any questions you may have about the process. Bring a friend!
