“Simply Love”: Mixed Media Artwork by Holly Aloha Jaynes
March 2 - March 29
Artist Holly Jaynes works in a wide range of media, including painting, photography, mixed media and collage. Her exhibit, “Simply Love,” represents her return to Abbot Library’s Carten Gallery, after more than ten years. Holly’s work reflects her interests in healing, spirituality and art, also combined in her academic studies at Lesley University, where she earned a Masters Degree in Expressive Therapy. She hopes that viewers will enjoy the variety of her art, as “there is something for everyone.”
Holly Jaynes graduated from the Vesper George School of Art and worked as a graphic designer for the next 14 years. She then attended the Massachusetts College of Art, with a dual major in Painting and Photography. After completing her Masters Degree in Expressive Therapy at Lesley University, she led expressive therapy groups in several hospitals, working in the mental health field. She is a member of the Marblehead Arts Association and the Rockport Art Association’s Experimental Group. She also teaches art across the lifespan at the Muse Art Studio.
