Answer: |
We can provide many more services to you using a computerized catalog than we could using the card catalog, and the cost of maintainting both the computer catalog and the card catalog is prohibitive. We are now able to directly borrow from the collections of 27 public and academic libraries of NOBLE (North of Boston Library Exchange). In addition, because we use a web-based catalog anyone with Internet access can use the catalog from home, office or wherever their computer is located just by visiting the NOBLE website at: www.noblenet.org . We are happy to help any customer find the book or other item for which they are searching or to demonstrate how to operate the web-based catalog.
