Teen Events

We offer monthly events for teens, including crafts, movies, and book groups. Past programs include Candy Sushi, Fortune Telling, Book-making workshops, sewing workshops, Henna, and Cupcake Decorating. We also offer a monthly Teen Literature Book Club for adults who love to read YA!

 

 

DECEMBER 2018 PROGRAMS

Sculpting with Spice for Teens
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th
Drop in 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Teen Room (Lower Level)
For grades 7-12.

Cinnamon, peppermint, ginger, pine, and many more delicious scents are all hallmarks of winter holidays. Drop in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in December to sculpt ornaments and candle holders from spice-scented clay and immerse yourself in holiday scents!

 

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
Thursdays, December 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
in the Lower Level Teen Room
For grades 7-12.

This group of teen volunteers helps the Teen Librarian plan events, choose items for the collection, decorate the Teen Room, and complete work projects in the Library. The Teen Room is YOUR space – come help us make it awesome!

 

Take and Makes are back!

For grades 7-12.

No time to come to a program in the Teen Room? No worries! We’ve restocked the Take and Makes! Just grab a baggie containing materials and directions for a craft you can do on your own time at home. Options range from Origami to Friendship Bracelets, and there’s something for everyone!
