“Beginnings: A #Bucketlist Solo Photography Exhibit” by Amy Gray
January 6 - January 28
“Beginnings: A #Bucketlist Solo Photography Exhibit” by Amy Gray will be on view in the Virginia A. Carten Gallery at Abbot Public Library from Sunday, January 6th through Monday, January 28th.
All are invited to the Public Reception on Sunday, January 6th from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm, which includes a lecture from 3:00 pm – 3:33 pm – “Beginnings: Make 2019 YOUR Year To Be Extraordinary”, Lecture by Artist Amy Gray.
Artist Statement: “Beginnings are typically hopeful affairs and contain fresh starts, transitions, and powerful pivots. I designed this collection to explore these occurrences and to spark joy and inspiration. From a misty dawn over a Maine lake, to seashells nestled like a mother with child, to a cheerful rose on the marble counter of a new business, each image prompts reflection and may evoke a smile, a laugh, or a nod of recognition. This exhibit asks you to use your powerful gifts to create extraordinary new beginnings – for yourself and others – in 2019.
I would like to thank Peyton Pugmire, Founder of Creative Spirit, for his essential role as mentor and Exhibit Director for the “Beginnings” exhibit. 100% of all profits from sales of my artwork will be donated to The Casa Rombach Recovery Fund, dedicated to helping Marblehead’s own Rombach family bring their dear Chloe, MHS Class ’10, home after a traumatic brain injury. You can read the full story here: www.crowdrise.com/casarombach. All images will be available for purchase at https://www.creativespiritma.com in January 2019. P.S. Special thanks to Patti Rogers, Director of Abbot Public Library, for granting this bucket list wish.”
