Fly Tying Class with Rick Little of Shadcreek Flies
September 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Please sign up in advance, as the class is limited to 12 participants. Register at the Main Desk or call 781-631-1481 Ex. 201. All skill levels are welcome! Suitable for ages 10 and up.
This fly tying class will focus on five freshwater flies and, time permitting, one saltwater pattern. Although the class is designed for beginners, experienced tyers are also welcome! Rick and his assistant will work one-on-one with participants and adapt to whatever levels of expertise are represented in the class. In a couple of hours, you can tie some flies, and you will walk away with the flies you have made, a detailed handout, and some additional knowledge. You will have fun and learn a lot!
The instructor, Rick Little, will bring hooks, fur, and feathers, along with fly tying materials and patterns for each fly.
Participants should bring their own fly tying vise, scissors, thread, and bobbins.
This program is part of the Fly Fishing Double Feature with Fly Fishing Expert and Enthusiast Rick Little. All are invited to the second part on Saturday, September 21st, at 1:30 pm: “Adventure Trip to Yellowstone and Big Sky Country – The Magic of the West”. Click the title for more details. There is no registration for the talk.
