“Quilts by Members of the Seacoast Quilt Guild”
June 1 - June 28
We’re back! In January of 2017, Marblehead’s Seacoast Quilt Guild presented its members’ quilts in a popular show at the Abbot Public Library. We have been busy quilting away since then and invite all to join us in the Virginia A. Carten Gallery on the lower level of the Library as we show off our latest creations throughout the month of June.
The Seacoast Quilt Guild, founded in 2010, meets the third Thursday of every month (except July) from 6:45 pm to 8:30 pm at the Marblehead Community Center. Our members range from novice sewers, just starting to discover the joys of the craft, to seasoned quilters who have been making quilts for years and even winning prizes for their creations. Meetings are convivial gatherings for swapping tips, participating in fun quilting challenges, hearing guest speakers, planning charity projects and basking in appreciation as projects are shared during Show and Tell. Friendship, inspiration and encouragement are goals of our group, and a constant flow of amazing quilts is the outcome.
The quilt show will be kicked off with a reception on Saturday, June 1st, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Members will be present to share our quilting stories, and refreshments will be served. Come enjoy – and maybe be inspired to explore that inner quilter in you, too!
