Book Discussion Groups

The library invites you to a book discussion group which meets at 10 a.m. in the Marblehead Room every third Tuesday of the month. New members are always welcome! Look for the book title to be discussed on our monthly calendar.

The library also has available book club kits for loan. The kits consist of 10 books and a leader’s guide in each. The kit checks out to one person in the group who is responsible to return the kit with all materials on or before the due date.

If you already have a book club, the library will be happy to obtain books for all of your book club members. The library provides this service to many local book clubs. All we need is a list of your members and their library card barcode numbers, and we will place the requests to other libraries for your club. Typically, one member of your group contacts us with the requested title and we determine if there are sufficient numbers of copies of the title that we can access to accommodate all your members. The library calls or emails all members to let them know their copy of the book is ready to be picked up. We keep the book on the holdshelf for members for a week.
